Today on Ellen’s birthday show Jennifer Aniston told us more information about her new show with Reese Witherspoon. It was announced last November that Apple purchased the rights to this show, but not much else was known until now. Aniston’s first reveal is that Apple has already purchased 2 seasons of the show, doubling down not just on the show, but on their long term goals as a content provider.

The other big news? Aniston hinted at “The new Apple network”. Previously, it had been assumed that Apple would use their streaming music service to release the show, much like they did with “Planet of the Apps” last year. It seems like Apple may be gearing up to have a dedicated streaming service for their new shows to go up against Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, and more. You can watch the clip here:
