Initially announced in 2014 as Hunt: Horrors of the Gilded Age. Hunt: Showdown was originally being developed by Crytek USA, wishing to create a spiritual successor to Darksiders. Development moved to Crytek headquarters after the shutdown of Crytek USA and then re-announced the game under the new title Hunt: Showdown in May 2017. Crytek’s predecessor was Vigil Games, the creators of the Darksiders series.

Hunt: Showdown features a co-op, first person shooter gameplay as you and a partner fight against other players and monsters in a treacherous world overrun by supernatural evil. Your goal is to hunt monsters for bounties while avoiding other hunters and the beasts that walk the earth. With otherworldly abilities and powerful weaponry Hunt will be a game to watch out for.

Hunt is set in the late-19th century and will have classes and weapons featured of that era. Hunt: Showdown takes its influence from The Order: 1886. Noting the focus on co-op gameplay and portrayal of that time. This looks like it will be an exciting game to play with a friend or even a stranger if you want to meet new people. Suspenseful, thrilling, and a lot of communication is what this game is about. I’m looking forward to this one.

Hunt: Showdown was re-announced in 2017 but has no official release date as of yet. But keep one eye on this one. It’ll be worth it.

I am just young man figuring things out in life as I go. Probably not the best way to go about it but I value the experience life has to teach us. Recently started writing as a gaming writer for the Play Your Way Network. Still learning as I go. Thanks for checking out the playerwaypodcast.com.
