FILM: Trailer Alert!

Welcome, friends, to another edition of Trailer Alert! 2018 is quite possibly going to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest, years in cinema history. With superhero films reaching their peek, to classic remakes to new ideas blooming from great minds. We never really cease to get something new-even if it is just a little bit. So! Moving on to a few trailers that dropped recently, maybe you’ve seen them, maybe you haven’t. We just want to highlight some of our favorites.

1. Samson

Ok, this one isn’t really that new but it has gone under the radar and it’s releasing next week so here it is. This classic story from the Bible about a man with, quite literally, God-given strength defends his homeland of Israel and falls in love with a seductive woman who discovers his secret to his inhuman strength. That’s the Bible version, IMDB spins it like this,

“After losing the love of his life to a cruel Philistine prince, a young Hebrew with Supernatural strength defends his people, sacrificing everything to avenge his love, his people, and his God.” – IMDB

Now, this is Hollywood so I would not recommend going to see this movie for it’s historical or religious significance. But if you’re in the mood for an action adventure movie then why not?!

Samson releases February 16, 2018

2. Venom

I will be honest. When this was first announced I really wasn’t all that excited about it. It was a movie set within the confines of the Spider-Man universe and was rumored to exclude the friendly wall-crawler altogether. But after seeing the teaser I must say that my spirits have been lifted. Tom Hardy is a very dynamic actor. I had no issue with him as Venom at all. It was just all the inconsistencies that Sony has left on the Spider-Man franchise over the years. But with the introduction of the young and talented Tom Holland it seems to shaping up. Speaking of the web-slinger, rumors have surfaced that he will in fact be making an appearance in the upcoming Venom movie. Honestly, even if he doesn’t, Tom Hardy will have it taken care of. Let’s be real.

Venom releases in October of 2018.

3. Gringo

Alright, this is going to be funny as can be. A great cast commands this movie through all the SH*T that’s going to hit the fan on this hilarious journey our main man Harold will partake in when he is flown to Mexico by his company for what he thinks is a simple delivery. Boy he’s sure in for one heck of a fiesta. Ok that was cheesy I know. Just check out the trailer!

Gringo drops on March 9, 2018.
