It turns out that speculation about a new Tomb Raider game being announced today was spot on.  Square Enix has officially lifted the curtain on Shadow of the Tomb Raider.  More astonishing, the game is right around the corner with a release date of September 14 for PC, Xbox One and PS4.

While not much is know about the game, we will be getting a full reveal on April 27, 2018.  We’ve known of its existence for quite some time.  One notable difference for this entry is a new developer.  Eidos Montreal has been developing, rather than Crystal Dynamics.  No need to panic, as Eidos is very familiar with the series having developed other titles in the franchise.
