In Wakanda News:
Kendrick Lamar, aka Kung Fu Kenny has announced that he will be producing the soundtrack for Marvels much anticipated movie, Black Panther. The Grammy Award winning hip hop artist will also work with fellow “TDE” crew-mate Anthony Tiffith in defining the sound of the kingdom of Wakanda.
Director Ryan Coogler, whom you may know from Creed, individually reached out to Kendrick for the project. This will be his first full motion picture production for a soundtrack, but with albums like To Pimp A Butterfly and Damn, his inclusion to the project will give a very solid resonating sound that current fans and newbies to the Black Panther saga will vibe to in theaters.
Kendrick also adds:
Marvel Studios’ Black Panther is amazing, from its cast to its director. The magnitude of this film showcases a great marriage of art and culture. I’m truly honored to contribute my knowledge of producing sound and writing music alongside Ryan and Marvel’s vision.
The first single features K.Dot and SZA, titled “All the Stars” is out now and streaming. Listen and enjoy below.
