HBO has confirmed that it was the subject of a recent hack. HBO says it’s not sure of the amount of data that was retrieved from their servers, but the hackers said they made off with roughly 1.5 terabytes. There have been leaks of Room 104 and Ballers already, with scripts of coming episodes for Game of Thrones leaked as well. HBO is expecting more leaks to trickle out in the coming days, and it’s likely that we will see at least on episode of Game of Thrones out earlier than HBO intended.

It’s a little surprising that HBO allowed this hack to happen, considering entertainment companies being hacked in the past, a-la Sony in 2014. We will keep you updated as more information is known.
