If you grew up in the age of the NES and SNES, you probably already know about this show. For those of you that don’t, Castlevania is a four part mini-season that focuses on the story from Castlevania III. We spend most of the show focusing on two characters, Dracula and Trevor Belmont.

The show is visually eye-catching, though the story is weak in some places. The show does a good job of making Dracula a sympathetic character, and having there be a rather unique enemy that you’re rooting against for much of the show. You can feel the constraints that the writers felt, worried that there wouldn’t be a renewal for a second season and dealing with a tight budget. The great news is that there will be a second season, and this first season is a quick 80 minutes of enjoyment.

And finally, to answer the age old question:

Should I binge it? Yes.
